Join Us for Worship:
Northwood UMC gathers for a weekly worship service on Sundays at 10:30 AM. Our services follow a traditional Methodist order of worship, presented in a casual atmosphere where all people are welcomed. We value the presence of children in our worship services, believing that Christian formation involves children having the opportunity to feel like contributing members of the church family. We do, however, provide engaging childcare for our younger kids, for families who need that as an option.
Who are we?
Northwood United Methodist Church is a community of faith in Lafayette, Louisiana striving to live into our mission of “belonging to and becoming like Jesus.” We do this by gathering in worship, studying Scripture, lifting each other in prayer, serving our community, and continually welcoming the movement of the Holy Spirit to transform us into the people God has designed us to become. We are a family of families, recognizing the importance of bringing together people from a diversity of backgrounds of all generations, from young children, to wise saints, and everyone in between.
Northwood UMC is a part of the United Methodist Church, a denomination that spans 136 countries around the world, with 12.5 million members.
